I am saddened to hear of the lost of Gary Sell and wish to extend sympathies to the family and to the community. When I remember him, the first image that comes to mind is him sitting patiently in the squad car as school let out each day. Just being there. Solid. Watching. On duty.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Gary. I first met him when he ask for assistance on a case involving farm implements being stolen in Nebraska and being sold in South Dakota. He was very appreciative of the assistance and was worried the whole time that my partner and I were being taken care of. When the trial came, his main concern was centered around the hospitality he and Bobbi could provide. Every meal during the trial was at his home and was a feast. You would think we were two long lost children. When I thereafter described Gary to friends and co-workers I would advise he was a big man with a bigger heart. I have nothing but fond memories of my association with him and Bobbi. My prayers are with the family. May God welcome this kind and gentle man into the Kingdom of Heaven.
